May 27th 2015

It is with great sadness that we are writing this note.

Sadly Louise Doolan lost her long fight against cancer and passed away peacefully yesterday. Louise was such a strong, wonderful lady with a huge amount of talent, it was a great privilege to work with her and have her as a friend. We have wonderful memories of Louise’s time with the group, she had a great sense of humour and zest for life, so there was never a moment that did not involve lots of fun, mischief and laughter... ...Those of you that came to Batley will remember some of the antics that she got up to!

Louise remained a great friend after she left the group and we have lots of personal memories of time spent with her and her family that mean a lot to us.

At this very sad time our thoughts are with Paul, Leah and Harry, they will always be part of our extended Bucks Fizz family and we will always be there to support them.

Rest in peace Louise, you will never be forgotten.

Love Bobby, Heidi and the rest of your Bucks Fizz family.

Hi all,

Once again we've been hard at it over recent months - and had a great gig in Selsey on Bobby's Birthday last weekend!  A few more gigs coming up during September - all around the South West.

I would guess that most of you have heard of, or even taken part in, the Ice Bucket Challenge which seems to be gaining in popularity more and more rapidly....well, there was no way that Bobby and Heidi would escape being nominated to get wet for a worthy cause... so enjoy!

Ps - keep an eye on this page for Tammy and Paul!!!

Cheers - Steve

May 20th 2014

Hi all,

Where have the last few months gone??!!!  We have just been so busy in the studio all of a sudden summer is upon us - well it was last week!!

We've finished building our new vocal booth - so hopefully Bobby will make good use of it to record some of the songs he has been working on recently...when he does you'll find out first on here!

Bobby, Phil and I had a busy time last Sunday, out in the sunshine all day, setting up the PA and running the stage for local amateur musicians performing at a CLIC Sargent Charity Event.  A great day was had by all, and most importantly they raised loads of money for a worthy cause...it was good to be part of it.

And to complete this brief update - I've just added some additional gigs to the list here .

Cheers - Steve

February 19th 2014

Hi all,

Well here we are - a very wet and windy 2014 so far, at least it's dry in the studio!

We're looking forward to a busy couple of weeks ahead of us in preparation for the Regal Theatre gig on the 28th.  On Monday we set up the green screen in the rehearsal studio and spent the afternoon Chromakey filming.  We are recreating some of our projection graphics for the theatre show to include Paul, because we don't want him to feel left out!  Today Phil has been busy with post-production on the video and I've started putting together the lighting plot.

Also, if you take a look at the latest gig news - you'll find another gig confirmed for March - there should also be news shortly of gigs in May and August.

Cheers - Steve

December 30th 2013

Hi all,

We hope you all had a great Christmas and wish you all the best for a very Happy New Year.

Latest gig news - Fizz will be performing at The Regal Theatre, Minehead, Somerset  on 28th February 2014.  A little bit extra special for Paul this one, because Minehead is his hometown!

Fizz will be supported by Little Betty, a Minehead based four piece band, formed in 2009, who play cover songs in their own style. Enjoy music from the 1950’s to the present, such as: David Bowie, the Beatles, R.EM, Snow Patrol and many more.

Looks to be a great evening.

Cheers - Steve

September 29th 2013

Steve's Very Delayed Update - August 8th 2013

Hi all,

I can only apologise for the extremely long delay in updating the website...our Studio and Production work have totally been ruling our lives since the beginning of the year  -  We've had a few laughs along the way though!

The gallery on the Homepage has now been updated with a few pics from the tour last year - it's good to have some photos of Paul on here at last!

Phil has just flown off to Spain for what he considers to be a "well earned rest"...it's alright for some!!

Cheers - Steve

March 28th 2013

Hi all,

Just a really quick update while I have a spare minute...

It's been a long time coming - the gigs are just starting to be confirmed so I've posted the few that have been here.

A little taster pic on the right of The Nameless Girl who we've been working with in the studio over recent months - more to come on this!

A more in-depth update as to all that's happening in the Fizz camp will follow soon - watch this space!!!

Cheers - Steve

December 16th 2012

Hi all,

An update....at last!! - I've not had a chance to write anything sooner as straight after the tour I was heavily involved in theatre production work for my local Theatre Company.

Time has just flown since the 'Two Laps Tour' finished at the end of October, we haven't had time to stand still, let alone put our feet up!  The recording and rehearsal studios have been buzzing with some great sounds during the last couple of months, along with prep for the Helsinki and Essen gigs which went ahead as planned and were fantastic.

Phil is still very busy with 'The Nameless Girl', along with this he has just finished working as sound engineer on a production of 'Cats'.

Heidi celebrated her birthday at the beginning of this month and passes on her thanks for all the messages she received.

...And I'm still trying to plough through the endless photos for the website.

The Fizz camp wish you all a very happy Christmas and a healthy and prosperous New Year - hope you all have a great time.

Cheers - Steve

September 23rd 2012

Hi all,

My apologies, once again for the lateness of another update....time flies, I can't believe it's been five weeks since the last one!

We've now completed 57 of the 67 dates on this tour, it doesn't seem like five minutes since we embarked on this back in March, and now we've only got five weeks of it left. I can confirm one thing though...the weather was warmer back then!

'Fizz' have been playing to some great crowds, who have thoroughly enjoyed the shows and given us a very warm welcome.  The Motown medley goes down extremely well and never fails to fill the dance floor.

We are now making our way east along the south coast, having had a few weeks of playing the local areas, which has given us the opportunity to spend a few hours at home on a Saturday morning before setting off again.

The group have also had a couple more gigs added to the list....they are off to Helsinki on 8th December for a show and then on the 15th they'll be performing at the Grugahalle, Essen, Germany - alongside Tony Christie, The Fortunes, Hermans Hermits, Sailor, Marmalade and The Rubettes to name just a few!

Phil (our sound engineer, for those who don't know him) has had a busy month.  In between his 'Fizz' commitments he's been working with the fantastic, up-and-coming band, 'The Nameless Girl' in our rehearsal studios and on some recent live shows.  Apart from engineering on gigs for them at the Watchet Festival and the O2 Academy in London, Phil went out to Ibiza with them to shoot some promo footage for their Debut Album 'Bipolar' - lucky boy!!

...And I'm still ploughing through the photos for the website - but here's a taster of Bobby in action!!!

Cheers - Steve

August 14th 2012

Hi all,

Well, here we are again - another month gone already!

Last weekend saw us in North Wales, and all I can say is - what a fantastic welcome - great, enthusiastic crowds - so thanks to all those who were there.

Recently there has been another slight change to the set list - the second set now includes the Motown Medley as previously used in the G-Fizz theatre shows - this has been going down a storm on the dance-floors.....So Paul had a busy time last month learning the songs and the routines!!

This weekend takes us back to Wales - then we start getting a little more local for a few weeks!

...And yes, I'm slowly getting through the photos for the website!!!

Cheers - Steve

July 12th 2012

Hi all,

Sorry for the extended period since the last update - it's a very busy time of year for us, outside of the 'Fizz Gigs'.

Well, the first thing to say is a great big thanks to the recent audiences, they have all been so receptive and so obviously enjoying the shows, despite the weather!

Last weekend was a little more hectic than usual as the group were asked to do an additional show for a members party. This involved setting up two venues during the afternoon.  The Fizz performed at the Owners party, had a 'meet and greet', then dashed to the second venue for another performance - still, a great night was had by all.

We also had the chance to catch up with ex-members Wayne and Paul as they were playing the same venues with 'Beautiful World'.  As the weekend marked the end of the first lap of the country on this tour, we needed no other excuse for a small celebration - so a good night was had by all !!!

This coming weekend takes us back to a very wet Berwick (thanks for the info Karl) - where we began the tour 4 months ago... where has that time gone!

I know I've mentioned this before - I will endeavour to find time soon to upload some new photos - that is as soon as I get a chance to trawl through the 2300+ pics I've taken so far - plus the 10 or so videos !!!

Cheers - Steve

June 7th 2012

Hi all,

Well here we are again....getting packed up ready to hit the road tomorrow morning, making our way over to Clacton for Friday evening and then Great Yarmouth on Saturday.Torre Abbey Meadows - Jubilee Event

Last Monday evening we were in Torquay as 'Fizz' performed an hour long set at the Palm Radio Jubilee Party on Torre Abbey Meadows - Luckily the weather held for this spectacular event and once again it was great to see so many fans there.  The evening culminated in a fantastic firework display - well done to all those involved.

We did have a bit of a break this week.  Bobby and Heidi, along with some friends, managed to get away for a few days - and apart from getting soaked we all had a great time.

Cheers - Steve

May 13th 2012

Hi all,

Another month gone already!! - and another month into the 'two laps of Britain tour'.  The 'Fizz' reception from the audiences never fails to amaze me - it seems to be growing and growing as we move around the country....the last few weekends have seen us nearer home in Somerset, Cornwall and Devon...and of course Dorset last Friday.  It's been great to see so many 'Fizz Fans' at so many locations - many of them at more than one venue.

I managed to spend most of the show on Saturday evening taking photos, so as soon as I manage to sift through them I'll endeavour to upload a new photo album to the site - so keep looking in.

Cheers - Steve

April 15th 2012

Hi all,

At last an opportunity to let you know what's been happening in the 'Fizz Camp' during the very busy recent months.

As you are aware we embarked on our 'two laps of Britain tour' during March...The gigs have been going down a storm in Scotland and Wales and we are now working our way down the west coast.  Paul has settled in and has been extremely well received by the audiences.  We've even made a couple of changes to the set-list, including adding a great Fizz version of 'Summer of '69', and we are looking at some other classic 80's tracks to put in the mix at some point.

During the last 18 months we have moved into larger production premises where we have our offices along with rehearsal, dance and recording studios, costume store and large workshop - all under one roof.

Towards the end of the year Bobby was commissioned to write and perform the audio track for a Spanish company's new advertising campaign - if you fancy a listen click the player below.  Since completing the track Phil and I have been nagging Bobby to put pen-to-paper to come up with some new material for the Fizz fans, which he has promised to do!! - so watch this space.

Along with Bobby, Phil and I have been working closely with the local high school, training BTEC students in many aspects of theatre production including performance skills, lighting and sound engineering.  We are also working alongside members of the local arts groups in the design and development of a substantial 300 seat Community Arts Theatre on the Tiverton High School Campus.

As you all know it's Eurovision time again so once again Bobby has been busy with interviews for the radio and press asking for his opinion on this years entry from Engelbert Humperdinck - which he really likes and thinks it could do quite well in the contest.

Our in-house production team are in the early stages of planning a brand new theatre production which we hope to be touring during the spring of 2013.

And.....I've just added some new gigs to the list - Torquay (June 4th) and Great Yarmouth (November 30th).

I'll do my best to post a monthly update on anything you may find of interest from the 'Fizz Camp'

Cheers - Steve

February 2012

Hi All,

As many of you are aware Paul decided to leave the group at the end of last year in order to join Wayne in the fantastic group 'Beautiful World'.  We have had great times and it has been an absolute pleasure working with him over the past seven years as he brought so much enthusiasm and flair to Bucks Fizz.

We really owe Paul a big 'thank-you' for the time spent in the studio assisting our new member Paul into the group.  Although he has left we will be seeing lots of Paul and Wayne during this season as they are working alongside us on the same tour.

We know he'll be missed by our fans as he had built up a great relationship with many of you.

We wish Paul all the love and luck in the world for the future.

January 2012

Hi All,

Just a short note to inform you that Heidi and I received a letter from Debello Law (Solicitors), dated 23rd December 2011, informing us that they had been instructed by their clients Jay, Mike and Cheryl to withdraw their appeal and discontinue all of the claim immediately, in relation to the trademark dispute .

Thank you all for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you during our 2012 season.

December 2011

The Fizz Camp wish you all a
Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year
